What to do
Confirm your Japanese business and both tax declarations
Open Settings → Region and business. Confirm JP, sole trader and your full legal name; registration country is JP or unspecified. Check consumption-tax-exempt business status and absence of qualified registration on both service and issue dates. Teaching or one turnover threshold is not sufficient. Other tax statuses need another workflow.
Choose the completed JPY lesson
In Payments → Payments, open Japanese ordinary invoice. Choose a confirmed whole-yen JPY charge for one completed individual lesson. Enter matching legal name, full Japanese addresses, adult learner/payer, contact and description. Do not enter My Number or a T-registration number. Use the completion day in Asia/Tokyo. Packages and advance receipts are excluded.
Preview and explicitly issue this ordinary invoice
Confirm the parties, adult private learner/payer and both tax-status declarations. Review dates, exact whole-yen total and payment observation. Separately confirm the displayed invoice, then issue and save its PDF. It is marked 適格請求書ではありません. No separate consumption tax, tax credit, bank transaction, provider or tax transmission is created.
Download or recover the saved issue
Download the immutable PDF from history. If the response is lost, retry the same issue: Close / Retry the same issue preserves the request while the page remains open. After reload, refresh history first. The same UUID returns the existing document. Later source changes show a review warning and do not rewrite saved bytes. You arrange delivery.
Correct details and retain electronic originals
Correct addresses, contact, trading name or a description typo. Original parties, dates, amounts and tax declarations remain fixed; a new PDF links to the original. Keep both digital files. Other corrections and cancellations need another workflow. Export the complete archive before account deletion and retain electronic originals for your applicable statutory period.
Good to know
- Ordinary invoice from a declared consumption-tax-exempt business. Not a qualified invoice. No separately calculated consumption tax. The charge and manually confirmed payments reflect original issue. Identity, tax status and bank settlement are not verified. Download is not delivery. This invoice does not certify an educational-service exemption or a tax credit.
- Export and retain digital originals and corrections for the statutory period applicable to your records, commonly five or seven years. Account deletion erases service copies; MomentDesk does not promise storage after deletion or full Electronic Books Preservation Act compliance.
