Getting started
- Sign in and get back into your account
Choose your role, sign in with an email and password or an external account, and recover access if the password is lost.
- Set up your tutor workspace
Set the name your students see and your time zone, then add your first student, schedule a lesson and create a saved board.
- Use the tutor home page
Read Today, act on the Needs attention panel and use quick actions without hunting through the menu.
- Prepare and teach your first lesson
Add a student, check the time and price, share their sign-in link and keep the work ready for the next session.
Students
- Add a student and set their age group
Create a student record with a name, the learner's age group, an optional email and the subjects you teach them.
- How learner age and guardian consent work
Set or correct a learner's age group, see whether a guardian has confirmed, and understand what happens when consent is withdrawn.
- Set subjects, rates and lesson length
Keep a price and a usual duration per student and subject, then correct them without creating duplicates.
- Invite a student with a personal link
Create a personal sign-in link and code for one student, share it privately and check whether it has been accepted.
- Give a parent or guardian access
Create a separate parent workspace, choose which sections it shows, and close or restore that access later.
- Edit, archive and restore a student
Change a student's details, move a finished student to the archive and bring them back without losing history.
- Keep shared notes with a student
Write notes the student can read, and keep private observations separate from them.
Schedule
- Plan tutoring lessons across time zones
Confirm lesson dates in both cities, check daylight-saving changes and move one session without changing the series. Includes a confirmation template.
- Schedule a lesson
Create a single lesson with the right student, subject, date, duration, time zone and price.
- Create a recurring series
Set up a repeating slot with a frequency, the days of the week and an end, instead of entering each lesson by hand.
- Change or stop a series
Edit a series’ weekdays, time, duration, time zone and end, and separately choose whether a reschedule moves one lesson or future lessons in the series.
- Reschedule a lesson and answer requests
Move one lesson or a whole future series, and approve or reject the reschedule requests students send.
- Cancel a lesson with or without a charge
Record a cancellation, decide whether it is charged, and mark a student who did not attend.
- Delete a lesson entered by mistake
Remove a lesson that should never have existed, and understand when to cancel instead.
- Complete a lesson and change its price
Record that a lesson took place, adjust the price for one session, and mark several past lessons at once.
- Teach separate lessons at the same time
Allow two individual lessons in the same slot when one student works independently while you teach another.
- See your lessons in another calendar
Subscribe to your MomentDesk schedule from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or any app that reads a calendar address.
Your booking page
- Fill in and publish your public profile
Present your lessons, publish your profile and choose booking and search visibility separately.
- Open slots for booking
Set the hours you are available, the lesson length, the notice you need and how far ahead people can book.
- Share your page and available times
Copy your public profile address, review it as a visitor and respond to a new student's request.

Homework
- Give homework feedback with a clear next step
Review the submitted work, write a specific comment and choose acceptance or revision. A reusable checklist and feedback template for independent tutors.
- Add practice with an answer key
Create your own automatically checked practice, preview the answer key and review learner attempts without treating a machine check as a teaching decision.
- Issue homework with files
Prepare an assignment, attach the material, set a due date and issue it to one student or several.
- Edit an assignment and issue it again
Edit one student’s assignment or the work for all listed recipients, then reuse it for another assignment.
- Review and grade homework
Open a submitted solution, comment on it, give a grade, and accept the work or return it for revision.
- Close, cancel or fail an assignment
Finish an assignment that will not be submitted, cancel one issued by mistake, and mark work as not completed.
Materials and boards
- Use a free English lesson board
Try a guest lesson board, preserve edits in the workspace or copy the original template, and find separate teacher notes and answer keys.
- Keep a learning plan for a student
Build a learning plan from your learner’s goal, organize topics and connect lessons, homework and materials while choosing what the learner can see.
- Upload and edit a study material
Add files to your library, give them a title and a subject, and keep an eye on the storage you use.
- Grant or revoke access to a material
Open a material to a particular student, check who can read it, and close that access later.
- Create a persistent whiteboard
Create a personal whiteboard or a shared student-and-subject board, organise pages, and archive or restore it.
- Work on a board together
Draw, write and add files on a shared board, follow the saving state and restore an earlier version.
- Run a lesson in one workspace
Open the lesson workspace, keep the board, chat, homework and materials together, and check your connection first.

Payments
- Record a payment and set an advance
Record money you have received, check the student’s account and correct an advance or mistaken payment.
- Check a payment mark from a student
Review the payments students report, look at the attached proof, and confirm or reject each one.
- Read a student's financial journal
Understand each entry on a student's account, follow the payment history by lesson, and add a manual adjustment.
- Create and issue a lesson package
Set up a plan for a block of lessons, issue it to a student, and freeze, extend or cancel it.

- Read your analytics
Compare a period with the one before it: payments received, lessons taught, schedule use and the students behind the numbers.
- Generate a monthly PDF report
Produce a payment report for one student or for all of them, and download it when it is ready.
