What to do

  1. Confirm the German business and tax context

Open Settings → Region and business. Confirm DE and sole trader with your full legal name. Registration country is DE or unspecified. Check §19 UStG for this operation, including all-business turnover, start-year rules and any binding waiver; teaching alone does not establish this exemption. Unknown or other tax cases need a separate workflow.

  2. Choose the completed lesson

In Payments → Payments, open German Kleinunternehmer invoice. Select one confirmed EUR charge for a completed individual lesson. Enter the matching issuer legal name, full German addresses, adult learner/payer, contact, description and Steuernummer or German USt-IdNr. Personal IdNr and KU-IdNr are not supported here. Use the lesson completion date in Europe/Berlin; packages and advance receipts are excluded.

  3. Review and issue the exact invoice

Confirm the correct parties and German establishment, the same adult private learner/payer, and §19 applicability. Preview the full amount, payment snapshot, identifier and dates. Then separately confirm the displayed invoice and choose Issue and save PDF. A unique number is assigned; no tax, bank or accounting-provider transmission occurs.

  4. Download or recover the saved issue

Download the immutable PDF from saved history. If the response was lost, retry the same issue request: Close / Retry same issue request preserves it while this page stays open. After reload, refresh history first. The same UUID returns the existing issue, rather than issuing another invoice. Later source changes show a review notice and do not rewrite the saved PDF.

  5. Correct details and retain the originals

Use Correct details for addresses, contact, trading name or a description typo. Original parties, tax identifier, dates, money and tax declaration remain fixed; the new PDF references the original. Keep both. Other corrections or cancellations need a separate workflow. Export the complete account archive before deletion and retain original documents for eight years from year end.
